“Art is the most beautiful deception of all. And although people try to incorporate the everyday events of life in it, we must hope that it will remain a deception lest it become a utilitarian thing, sad as a factory.”
– Claude Debussy
Hi! My name is Herbert and I’ve learned photography as a child from my father back in time when we’ve had to deal with analog film, manual focus and stuff.
The photo above shows a very young me unloading a Voigtländer Vito B camera which was my very first camera. The photo was shot by my father with a Rolleiflex medium format dual lens camera and someday I’ll provide a better digital scan of it for sure.
The Voigtländer Vito B was an awesome camera. The 50mm Color-Skopar lens was already sharp like hell and offered tons of detail and resolution to that time.
When digital photography emerged and since the introduction of mirror-less cameras, photography gained my attention again. Today, photography is my hobby and passion. I’m currently using a Sony NEX 5N with the Zeiss 24mm/f1.8 Sony A7 with the Zeiss 55mm/f1.8 lens but also some M-mount lens types with an adapter.
I hope you’ll enjoy my images and please feel free to leave some comments.

Hi Herbert!
I was nominated for the “Liebster Award”. This award is meant to welcome (relative small) bloggers to the world of Blogging and I wanted to pass this honor on to you!
If you accept the award, please “pass it forward” and nominate 3 to 11 other people for this award.
There are a few rules if you accept this award which you can find them here: http://ledotphotography.com/2014/12/29/the-liebster-award/
Basically the rules are: Answer the 11 questions I have written for you on my blog, state 11 random facts about yourself and nominate 3 to 11 other people for an award.
Feel free to ignore this award if you are not into this sort of thing. The true purpose is to show you a small token of my appreciation for your blog and to let you know much I enjoy your photos! 🙂

Cool project. I must admit was not quite convinced this wide-screen look was a good idea in photography. Now I am. You never stop learning…
